The Friday night problem
Music Near Me started with a Friday night problem. There was live music somewhere in town, there always is, but finding it meant digging through five venue websites, a dozen Facebook pages, and a chalkboard you had to drive past to read. Half the shows never made it online at all. The band played to whoever happened to walk in.
We built Music Near Me so that stops happening. Venues and bands post their shows in one place. Fans follow the acts and rooms they like and check one schedule instead of ten. That's the whole idea.
The app comes out of Saint Louis, MO, built by a developer and a working musician who were tired of watching good bands play half-empty rooms. It's free for everybody: fans, bands, and venues.
The musician side
Players get their own side of the app. Build a page for your act, post your gigs, and keep your full schedule where fans can actually find it. Jam circles let you meet other musicians nearby, filtered by instrument, genre, and experience, whether you need a drummer for Saturday or a band for good.
Where it's headed
Right now the deepest coverage is where we live and play. As more venues and bands sign on, the map fills in. If you run a room or play out and want your shows listed, sign up in the app or get in touch. We read everything.
